She’s in the Stream is about a man who falls in love with an AI persona he believes is real.
From his point of view, she is a real person. She talks, releases music, gives interviews, reacts, evolves. The illusion is convincing, and hes too stupid to realise shes a fake. As a result he falls in love with her.
Once he finds out shes fake however, his obsession turns to embarrasment and rage and he wants to harm the creator who fooled him.
Obsession is dangerous whether the target is real or not. Fixation, fantasy, and entitlement don’t disappear just because the person on the other side of the screen isn’t human.
