🎧 Track of the Week: “Trigger Fingers” by The90sPope
This week’s spotlight goes to The90sPope, for his hard-hitting track “Trigger Fingers.”
A powerful, controversial piece that dives deep into the prevalence of guns in modern society, tackling the hard topics of school shootings, youth access to weapons, and the darker sides of culture that normalize it.
What stands out isn’t just the subject matter, but the dedication behind it. The90sPope does everything himself, offline, with precision and purpose, something I can definitely relate to.
🧠 The Process
When I asked him about his workflow, here’s what he shared:
“For sound it was mostly Musicful, and the rest of the drill in iZotope RX and Reaper.
Video is made with WAN 2.2 InfiniteTalk 14b model (fp8 quant).
Images rendered with WAN 2.2 T2V 14b model – basically a 1-frame video rendered at 24 fps, 1280×720.
Then I brought it into Vegas 23 Pro, exported, and ran it through Topaz for interpolation (60 FPS) and 4K upscale.
Final touches in Vegas: chromatic aberration synced with the low-end frequencies, old-film FX, movie grain…
Since I already own licenses for Topaz and Vegas, I use them, but I never pay for videos. I make it all myself the way I want it.”
That level of control and craft shows through. The result is cinematic yet gritty, a perfect match for the message he’s pushing.
🔧 Tools of the Trade
- DAW: Reaper
- Audio Cleanup: iZotope RX
- AI Models: WAN 2.2 InfiniteTalk 14b / T2V 14b (fp8 quant)
- Video Editing: Vegas Pro 23
- Upscaling: Topaz Video AI
As he put it, “Vegas is good for boomers like me” but the speed and familiarity clearly pay off.
💬 Final Thoughts
In an era where many creators rush content for social media, The90sPope takes the opposite route, crafting everything by hand, offline, and with intent. The result is a statement piece that sounds great and says something real.
Check out Trigger Fingers on his channel, and keep an eye out, he’s already teasing a new track and video dropping this weekend.
